If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet check the following:

There is a known issue with certain new DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem models on this system,
they will not work properly and should be replaced with:
Motorola/Arris Model SB6121, SB6141, SBG6700-AC, SBG6580
or
Netgear model CM500, C3000, C3700, C7000 modems.

  1. Look at the modem and check the lights on the front. There should be an online or cable light. This light should be solid, not blinking. If the light is solid go to step 2. Otherwise check the coax cable (the black cable that screws onto the back of the modem.) Make sure it is secure and connected to the wall outlet. If this causes the online or cable light to go solid then go to step 2. If the light is still not solid call 734-531-0148.
  2. If the online light is solid and you still can't connect, make sure your computer is connected directly to the modem with an Ethernet cable. If you are using a router disconnect it and plug your computer straight into the cable modem. If this doesn't fix your problem call 734-531-0148.
